Description kingA

King Alfred has unique blue green foliage that is dense and compact. It's attractive flowers extend up to one metre in height and are purple and yellow. King Alfred grows from 60 - 70cm tall and an approximate spread of 70cm. It is able to tolerate prolonged periods of wet conditions as well as long dry conditions.

Position

King Alfred grows well in full sun and moderately shaded positions. It tolerates windy, salty and droughty conditions comfortably. It will survive on rainfall in most populated areas of Australia. It will perform equally well in sandy or heavy clay soils.

Uses

King Alfred is ideal for specimen planting or mass planting in gardens, roadsides, golf courses, commercial and industrial sites and most types of residential locations. King Alfred is a good companion plant with Tanika.

Maintenance

Water is required to keep King Alfred healthy for the first ten weeks. Trimming is rarely required, but if needed, trim to 15cm above ground level. Fertilizer is rarely required, however for extra colour, use a well balanced slow release fertilizer in Spring or Autumn.

Description

Little Jess is a compact, clumping ornamental plant. It produces glossy green foliage which wll grow to 40cm, with elevated blue purplish flowers in Spring followed by attractive purple berries. Dianellas are known as one of the most drought tolerant adaptable Australian native plants and Little Jess is no exception. Underground rhizomes ensure excellent cold temperature and frost resistance.

Position

Tolerates a wide range of soils and climatic requirements. Suited to full sun as well as shady positions. It is very hardy with excellent drought tolerance and frost tolerance.

Uses

Mass plantings, Ornamental gardens, accent plant, foliage or grassy gardens. It is also excellent when used in low water situations such as roadsides etc.

Maintenance

Plant in a well mulched garden. It is recommended to apply a complete slow release plant fertilizer once a year in Spring.

Dianella revoluta   'DRG04'   Revelation pbr_logo_sml

Descriptionreva 

Revelation is a medium sized Dianella. It has a unique colour with one side of the leaf green and the other side is blue. Revelation flowers with an abundance of blue flowers from mid spring through to early summer. This show is then followed by the production of purple berries. This plant will spread through rhizomes. It has excellent drought tolerance.

Position

Revelation grows well in full sun and moderately shaded positions. It tolerates windy positions and is extremely drought tolerant. It establishes equally well in sandy or heavy clay soils. It should not be planted in consistently wet locations.

Uses

Ideal for specimen or mass plantings in gardens, roadsides, golf courses, industrial and commercial developments as well as all domestic and residential sites. It is an excellent erosion control plant. Good companion plant with Little Jess or Tanika.

Maintenance

Very low requirements. It is recommended that an application of slow release fertilizer be applied once a year in spring.

Descriptionbreeze

Breeze is a free flowing Dianella with dark green foliage and exquisite sprays of soft blue flowers in spring, followed by attractive purple berries. Breeze grows to an approximate height of 60cm and a similar spread. Underground rhizomes ensure excellent cold tolerance. Like all Dianellas, Breeze is also an excellent drought tolerant plant.

Position

It tolerates a wide range of soils and climatic requirements. Suited to full sun as well as shady positions. Very hardy, exhibiting excellent drought and frost tolerance.

Uses

Mass planting, accent plant, foliage or grassy gardens. It is ideal for use in water wise gardens.

Maintenance

Plant in a well mulched garden. Fertilize with slow release once a year in Spring. Trim if required to remove previous season's growth.
