The idea behind the growing of turfgrass in a soil less, organic based medium is not new. EnviroTurf is established into an amended composted green waste material, seeded or propagated with the required turfgrass specie and then spread out on a plastic membrane until mature and ready for installation.
EnviroTurf is a superior turf product due to the fact that it is installed with 100% of it's root system intact at time of installation, therefore reducing any shock and ensuring a far quicker establishment rate than other turf products, including washed turf. EnviroTurf weighs about half as much as conventional soil based turf. It is consistent in it's appearance and quality as well as being far quicker to install.
Because EnviroTurf can be grown and supplied in far larger dimensions than more conventional turf, there are less joins and seams to worry about drying out. EnviroTurf is a product ideally suited to the landscape and civil engineering industries due to it's unique characteristics.
